ECYC online campaign on youth work and violent radicalisation

comment(s)

As part of our work plan for 2017 (mainly financed by the Council of Europe's European Youth Foundation), we are launching an online campaign that aims to promote the role of youth work in preventing violent extremism of youth and, more generally, to raise awareness on the diversity of youth work practices all over Euope. Our target group are decision-makers at both European and national level.

Would you be interested in participating in this campaign? All you have to do is download the #valueyouthwork sample via this link, follow the instructions on the back of the sheet and send your picture and text to ecyc@fcjmp.be. Your contribution will then be uploaded on the website of the campaign, which is currently under development (but an early version is already available here!). On the website, we'll publish material (testimonials, documents, publications etc.) on the preventive role of youth work, but also on all the other benefits that youth work brings to young people's lives and society in general.

The campaign was developed by an international editorial board composed of 6 young youth workers from Romania, Ireland, Greece, Finland and the UK who met back in April in Dublin, Ireland. The meeting was supported by Youth Work Ireland.

We look forward to your contribution and do not forget to spread the word about our campaign and convince others to participate in it!
