The National Association for Social and Cultural Animation ("AssociAnimAzione") is an association aiming to do social promotion at national level, born in Milan on May 20, 2003. The mission of the association is the diffusion of the social practice of animation, its study, experiences and production of material. For this reason, since its foundation, it supports experiments in which animation is called to measure its actuality and effectiveness.

The cultural action is the heart of Associanimation, and is declined along different axes:

• Participation in research networks on themes related to animation (generative welfare, sharing economy, collaborative platforms, etc.);

• Promotion, development and research around the figure of the youth worker, considering the importance given by the European Union and the movements of some Regions;

• Development of a catalog offer of training opportunities on social and cultural animation, promoting in particular an annual appointment that re-launches the reflections matured in the organization;

• Development of the production of articles signed by AAA and presence in the editorial staff of the magazine Animazione Sociale;

• Organization and participation in conferences and events on issues related to innovation, inclusion, sharing economy, etc;

• Design and support to the activity of the members.

Precisely the design function fosters internal and external partnerships with Associanimation, bringing to the members reflections, skills and work opportunities. With the inclusion in the ECYC network, the association aims to provide itself with a European spirit through collaboration and comparison with counterparts and with the system actions promoted within the EU.
